Leonardo “Leo” Leite is a distinguished Brazilian martial artist renowned for his accomplishments in judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), and mixed martial arts (MMA). Born on March 23, 1978, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Leite began his judo training in 1984 and later expanded his expertise to BJJ in 1993 under the guidance of Alexandre Paiva. His dedication and skill led him to become an 8-time Brazilian BJJ Champion, 4-time World Champion, and 2-time World Cup Champion. In judo, he represented Brazil in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and secured multiple Pan American and South American titles. Transitioning to MMA in 2013, Leite achieved notable success, including winning both the Light Heavyweight and Middleweight titles in the Legacy Fighting Championship. He later competed in Bellator MMA, facing top-tier opponents.
