About Us
Buriram, a northeastern province in Thailand, used to have two football clubs; Buriram PEA and Buriram FC. Buriram FC was crowned champion of division 1 while Buriram PEA won the Thai premier league trophy in 2011. Buriram PEA was the first club in Thailand that won three different competitions in 2011 which made them the top club in Thailand back then. This was backed by statistics as in that year, Buriram PEA moved from the 604th position to the 243rd position in world football club rankings. Since the rules forbid two affiliated teams from playing in the same league, this sparked the revolutionary establishment of Buriram United from the combination of these two clubs. Since then, Buriram United had gone on to win many competitions and made history by being the champion of 5 different competitions in a single season, topping that of Buriram PEA. Thus, this makes Buriram United undeniably one of the greatest clubs in Thailand and is relentlessly pushing to be up there with the greatest in Asia as well.
