Flint Jiu Jitsu head instructor is Mike York. He is a Marcello Monteiro Black Belt by way of Dan Allen, Dan Cousineau and Carl Rowe. Mike has 20 years experience along with multiple years experience teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The technical aspect of Jiu Jitsu is of extreme importance. Being able to relay the technical aspects to the student in a way they understand is also of extreme importance so they will be able to apply what they have learned under pressure. Some of the photos you see are of Mikes son Ethan York. Ethan is a competitor and under Mikes instruction Ethan became a high level Competitor / Practitioner at a very young age. He would commonly train and compete with larger and more experienced practitioners. Mike became confident enough to put Ethan with anyone in any division from the time Ethan was 14 years old. We would like to give the same quality Jiu Jitsu to you.
