Kody Steele is a distinguished American athlete excelling in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and mixed martial arts (MMA). Born on April 21, 1995, in Port Angeles, Washington, Steele began his martial arts journey with wrestling during his early teens, competing in Greco-Roman, freestyle, and folk-style disciplines. After relocating to Texas in 2013, he transitioned to BJJ under the mentorship of Rodrigo Cabral at the Brazilian Fight Factory, quickly rising through the ranks and earning his black belt in January 2020 .
Steele’s competitive achievements in BJJ are noteworthy. He secured victories in prestigious tournaments such as the Eddie Bravo Invitational Combat Jiu-Jitsu (2019), Marianas Open (2018), and multiple IBJJF events. His dynamic guard passing and aggressive style have made him a formidable presence on the mats .
