Kristina Barlaan is a 3rd-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Professor Caio Terra, renowned for her technical prowess and dedication to the art. Beginning her martial arts journey in 2006 with Muay Thai, she transitioned to Jiu-Jitsu in 2007, quickly finding a passion that would define her career. Barlaan has achieved significant competitive success, including titles such as 3x World Master Champion (2018–2020), 2x Asian Open Champion (2016, 2018), and European Open Champion (2016). Beyond her accolades, she is deeply committed to empowering women in Jiu-Jitsu, exemplified by founding INSPIRE, an open mat event aimed at strengthening the women’s BJJ community.
