Lucas Valente is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) black belt and elite competitor representing Gracie Barra. Born on February 13, 1996, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Valente was immersed in martial arts from a young age, influenced by his uncles who were accomplished martial artists. He began his BJJ journey at Gracie Barra Belo Horizonte, training under esteemed instructors including Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhães, Marcelo “Uirapuru” Azevedo, and Sergio Benini. Valente’s dedication and talent quickly propelled him through the ranks, earning his black belt in December 2017. Throughout his career, he has amassed numerous accolades, including IBJJF No-Gi World Championships in 2023 and 2024, and a silver medal at the 2019 IBJJF World Championship.
