Mahamed Aly is a distinguished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) black belt and former ADCC World Champion, renowned for his dynamic and aggressive grappling style. Born on January 11, 1994, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Aly began his martial arts journey at the age of 15 with kickboxing. His interest shifted to grappling after experiencing firsthand the effectiveness of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu during an MMA sparring session. Recognizing the potential of BJJ, he joined Team Nogueira and later trained under the guidance of Lloyd Irvin, who promoted him to black belt in 2015 .
