Monique Elias is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Mário Reis and a prominent figure in women’s BJJ.
She transitioned from a career in fashion modeling to become a competitive athlete.
Elias secured her black belt in 2014 after winning double gold at the IBJJF World Championships.
She is a 3-time IBJJF World Champion, with titles in 2013, 2014, and 2016.
Elias also won the IBJJF Pan American Championship in 2015 and 2017.
She clinched the 2015 UAEJJF Abu Dhabi World Pro Championship.
In 2015, Elias achieved double gold at the Brazilian National Championship (Brasileiros).
She is known for her dynamic open guard and sweeping techniques.
Elias is affiliated with the Alliance Jiu-Jitsu team.
