About Us
At New State Fitness, our goal is to build a community around the practice of martial arts, while helping our students to realize their physical, mental, and spiritual potential. Our New Orleans-area martial arts and fitness center provides a family-friendly atmosphere where everyone from beginners to experts, from kids to adults, can gather to fully develop their martial arts skills, and learn how to use the fundamentals we teach to enhance their lives.
For anyone in the Greater New Orleans area who is looking for a unique and comprehensive approach to improving their physical and mental well-being, we offer classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and Kickboxing for both kids and adults.
New State Fitness was established by Charles Haymon, a veteran of the GNO martial arts scene and a highly decorated national competitor in Jiu Jitsu, Sambo, and Judo. Charles currently serves as the head trainer, working alongside other local martial arts experts, including Myron Gaudet and Collin Murray.
