About Us
An affiliate of Judo Queensland and UQ Sport, the University of Queensland Judo Club boasts a rich history and caters for all martial arts skill levels – from first timers to elite level athletes to lifelong practitioners. Held at the University of Queensland Sport Fitness Centre, the Club is also one of the few that are equipped with a sprung flooring that makes for a safe and effective ground to train on.
Judo is a modern martial art that was created as a physical and mental discipline which has evolved into a popular Olympic sport. There are many different skills in Judo from throwing, grappling and ground fighting that will challenge the participants.
