About Us
The World Professional Boxing Federation (WPBF) is an independent international boxing organization founded in 2008, originally based in Bangkok, Thailand. It sanctions professional boxing matches worldwide and awards titles in various weight divisions. The WPBF offers World, International, Intercontinental, and Regional titles to help promote the sport and give boxers opportunities, especially in emerging boxing regions.
Although the WPBF operates globally, it is not recognized as one of the four major sanctioning bodies (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO). It is considered a minor or secondary organization in professional boxing. While it doesn’t carry the same prestige as the major bodies, it provides a valuable platform for fighters to gain experience, build their careers, and earn recognition.
